Infrastructure held through peak submission hours without degradation.
Per-student scorecard usable directly for placement-cell screening.
Web, binary, network, and crypto challenges benchmarked to CTFtime standards.
VIT ran a campus CTF on CYBERCOM and used per-student challenge data to build a ranked placement shortlist - bridging competitive CTF and structured hiring assessment in a single event.
Most campus CTFs produce a leaderboard and a trophy. VIT wanted more: a ranked, per-student evidence file that the placement cell could hand directly to recruiting companies as proof of practical cybersecurity skill.
CYBERCOM's per-participant scorecard - challenge category breakdown, solve counts, time-to-first-blood - gave the placement team exactly that. The event ran as a competition, but the output was a structured hiring dataset.
Peak submission windows - the final 30 minutes of a CTF - are where most platforms degrade. Participants race to submit flags simultaneously, creating a write burst that overwhelms unprepared backends.
CYBERCOM's infrastructure handled VIT's peak window without visible latency. No submission errors, no queue backlog, no scoring delays. Participants experienced the event the way it was designed - as a real competition, not a platform stress test.
“The infrastructure held up without downtime even during peak submission hours. The post-event scorecard gave us per-participant data we could actually use for placement screening - not just a trophy leaderboard.”
